Now, this dress is pretty ugly when it’s on the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture runway however it turns into some kind of utter monstrosity whilst on Victoria. The gloves, the shoes, the fit, the fabric, the cut… I could go on, but I feel the image below truly does speak for itself. I say speak, I clearly mean yell. “TRAGICALLY BAD” is what I imagine it’s yelling.
I was seriously torn between putting this bag from The Row in the Prepare To Salivate or the WTF section. Sure it’s actually kind of cool, and probably about the best looking backpack you’re ever going to find… but £22,950? Is there EVER a justification for spending that much money on a bag? A backpack! £22,950. Just…wow.
Olsen Twins, I love thee and I love The Row but I’m not sure I can get on board with this one. In the end I went for Prepare To Salivate as basically that’s what it does to me. The thought of that much money on a bag pretty much makes me froth at the mouth.
I’m the first to admit my love for Katy Perry. She’s beautiful, she’s fun, she doesn’t really give a damn and ‘Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?’ is quite frankly a lyrical masterpiece. However last night, she did something bad. Very bad.
The critical damning of the F/W 2011/12 Christian Dior Couture collection was almost universal. Supposedly the first collection designed without any input from John Galliano himself it is, to be utterly blunt, a series of some of the worst outfits to walk down a couture runway. Yet last night at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards Miss Perry decided she’d wear one of these looks. Complete with the cube. On her head.
The only thing keeping me going is that surely this has to be the only red carpet outing this collection is going to get? Please..?
