There may still be the last remnants of Marni for H&M sitting in stores but the team at H&M already have their next designer adventure planned, and this time it comes in the form of Editor Anna Dello Russo. She’s known for her bright, zaney and sometimes just plain cool fashion sense and now she’s going to turn her hands to designing a range of accessories for the high street giant. Launching on October 4th (in the midst of Fashion Week) the collection will consist of jewellery, bags, shoes, sunglasses, and most intriguingly, a ‘trolley’. Interesting. Take a sneaky peek at some of the pieces below, but be warned – these aren’t the for the subtle fainthearted types!
Well here they are, the first previews of the Marni for H&M collection, from this month’s Russian Vogue. (Sadly there’s no menswear here however.) Feast your eyes on spots galore. There’s some pretty fantastic accessories in there. Scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you? I’m sitting around 19.5 currently.
I’m aware that it’s Christmas very shortly, and also that it’s really rather cold (and windy) outside right now, but I’m going to hope that this may well come as a ray of sunshine in the December gloom. For me when it comes to the High Street the best offerings really do come from COS and H&M. The Spring/Summer offering from H&M is everything it should be for the season and I personally can’t wait to find some of these beauties in stores next year.
As always H&M‘s imagery hits the nail on the head also, styled to perfection.
I’m aware it may feel like you’re being somewhat bombarded with Versace for H&M imagery here, but I’m going to continue all the same. Abbey Lee Kershaw can be seen here in more images from the lookbook, thanks to a preview in this month’s Russian Vogue. It looks spectacularly tacky, I love it.
And yes, those are Versace archive print cushions you spot, also part of the collection…
This season Reiss celebrates their fortieth year on our high streets and to mark the occasion they’ve not only created a Limited Edition luxe collection but are also about to make their debut in the world of fragrance. The Black Oudh men’s fragrance and women’s Grey Flower will launch this Winter amid Reiss‘ season of birthday festivities.
They’ve been created in conjunction with the man behind such big name scents as Alexander McQueen and Agent Provocateur. Both fragrances are designed to truly encapsulate the spirit of the Reiss brand; modern, sleek, and most importantly of all for the Reiss team, the knowledge that the customer feels it’s unique. Grey Flower sees notes of armoise and pimento berry teamed with cocoa leaf and amber to create a mysteriously dark floral scent, whilst Black Oudh combines the heavy sent of oudh, an evergreen tree resin if you don’t know (don’t worry, I hadn’t the foggiest either), with lighter notes of vetiver to ensure the scent isn’t overpowering.
Check out the Grey Flower ad below and be sure to wrap your nostrils around the scents when they hit stores.
