Today my fellow fashion minded friends, it’s a good day. Oh yes it is. The delightful, incredible, and down right spectacular Emma Stone has landed her first Vogue cover. It’s been a long time coming though it has to be said – if you’re a regular reader of the style bible you’ll know she’s been featured MANY a time inside, and now thanks to the huge juggernaut that is The Amazing Spiderman, she’s gracing the cover. Now, I am of course in love, but I can’t help but wish she had her amazing red hair for the cover… And now back to the Emma love.
It was rather inevitable that the cast of The Avengers were going to land on some covers this month, and it would have been rather absurd if Scarlett Johansson didn’t grab herself second cover of US Vogue, and here she is. Oozing old Hollywood glamour like there’s no tomorrow – with a little help from Mark Ruffalo and Mario Testino. Oh, and a big cat.
Emily Blunt is one of my favourite actresses working today. Not only if she talented, but she’s a pleasure to see interviewed, a pleasure to read about and certainly a pleasure to look at. She’s covered Elle once before, but this cover has to be one of my favourite covers the British Elle team have ever produced.
And if Emily weren’t enough to sway you into purchasing, there’s a £15 Whistles gift card in there too. Good times.

Sometimes Wonderland‘s covers really hit the mark, and other times (like last issue’s Nicki Minaj cover) sort of arrive onto newsstands with a flop. The April/May issue however looks like it’s going to be one of the good ones – check out Dakota Fanning going all lady-like on us. I’m a bit of a fan it has to be said.
The H&M Conscious Collection has been going for a few seasons now, and this year it would seem it’s come over all glam. Most of the pieces wouldn’t look out of place on a red carpet – See Michelle William‘s at this year’s Bafta Awards who was actually wearing a custom made H&M Conscious Collection dress – just how you’re going to work most of these little numbers into your every day life really is not the issue. Maybe you’ve got a wedding you’re going to and don’t mind being the girl with the thigh-high slit? Maybe you just fancy rocking up to work in a ruffled tulle gown?
Made entirely from sustainable fibres and recycled fabrics, there’s even a bit of hemp in there. Who knew hemp could look so glamorous ey? The collection, as always, comes with its own built in morals, which is always going to be a plus when it comes to clothing if you ask me, and you’re on my blog so I’m going to safely amuse you did ask me quite frankly.
Feast your eyes and begin making a list of the events you have coming up where such a gown will be wholly acceptable, the collection launches into selected stores and online on April 12th.
I’ve professed my love of Jennifer Lopez previously, or as I still like to refer to her Jenny From The Block. Even when she’s getting it wrong she’s just getting it so right at the same time? I think with a face like that, very little else matters. And what a face, look at it. Look… at… it.
I’m never going to condone the use of the words ‘fabulously fit’ as a cover line, but still, she’s looking all kinds of incredible for the cover. Swoon.
Now I’m a fan of The Sunday Times Style magazine all year round it has to be said, but twice a year they produce a bit of a fashion beast and this spring is no exception. Natalia Vodianova takes the cover this time wearing one of this season’s most copied prints (here’s looking at you Zara) by Stella McCartney.
Go out young fashion folk and buy, buy, buy! One day only remember. Buy, buy, buy. Okay enough, just go get it and do like I’m about to do – huge mug of tea, biscuits, read.
The April issue of Elle is always one of my favourites that they produce annually. It’s the high street issue generally and they just know exactly what to do with high street pieces. Check out Ashley Olsen covering the subscriber’s cover of the issue. If you aint a subscriber (why? WHY aren’t you?) you can pick up a copy on newsstands from Wednesday where you’ll have the choice between Ashley or Mary-Kate. Not that anyone wants you to play favourites. At all.
And P.S Team Elle, can we have an Elizabeth Olsen cover please? Cherries on top?
