Emily Blunt is one of my favourite actresses working today. Not only if she talented, but she’s a pleasure to see interviewed, a pleasure to read about and certainly a pleasure to look at. She’s covered Elle once before, but this cover has to be one of my favourite covers the British Elle team have ever produced.
And if Emily weren’t enough to sway you into purchasing, there’s a £15 Whistles gift card in there too. Good times.

The April issue of Elle is always one of my favourites that they produce annually. It’s the high street issue generally and they just know exactly what to do with high street pieces. Check out Ashley Olsen covering the subscriber’s cover of the issue. If you aint a subscriber (why? WHY aren’t you?) you can pick up a copy on newsstands from Wednesday where you’ll have the choice between Ashley or Mary-Kate. Not that anyone wants you to play favourites. At all.
And P.S Team Elle, can we have an Elizabeth Olsen cover please? Cherries on top?
Lady Gaga‘s appearance on the cover of a (quality) UK monthly has always been somewhat of a mystery to me. Stateside she’s managed to land on the covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar (twice in one year in fact) not to mention her numerous appearances on V, but here in the UK she’s only had i-D and Cosmopolitan… odd.
Once again however British Elle comes up trumps with its coverstars and has landed a shoot and interview with the Gaga herself. Check out the behind the scenes video below and prepare yourself for the no doubt spectacular subscriber’s cover coming your way soon.
Rather annoyingly out of town when my issue’s arrived I’m itching to get home to look at the copy. This scan comes from Bank over at The Fashion Spot. Always a fan of Emma Watson, and now becoming a fan of her hair now it’s growing in, I’m very glad to be looking at her here on Elle. They’re certainly on a roll with their covers lately.
What you need to know about Joan Smalls is pretty much just her name, everything else is as plain to the eyes as Katie Price’s lack of shame is to.. well, the world. Currently ranked at number 4 in the Models.com Top 50 models Joan is having a little bit of a moment. If you can class this past year as a moment anyway.
Hailing from Puerto Rico she made her debut for Riccardo Tisci‘s Givenchy Couture presentation in Paris before going on to walk in over forty shows over the show season. That’s a whole lot of walking for a girl on her debut season. Since then she’s gone on to star in campaigns for Gucci, Stella McCartney and Estée Lauder, appear in a multitude of editorials for US and British Vogue, and bag a cover if i-D. This month the team at British Elle decided it was time for Joan to get some more British loving and gave her her very Limited Edition cover (try tracking one down, I dare you. It’s like a fashion mission) along with an editorial. It’s pretty rare for Elle to have model covers, but let’s hope it’s a sign of things to come.
Check out Joan’s Elle cover and familiarise yourself with this little lady. It’s a name to know.
Whilst this one’s usually reserved for items of lust I decided it really was where these images of Rosie Huntington-Whitley truly belonged. I’ve often heard her referred to as the ‘most beautiful women in the world’ and whilst I’m not sure I quite agree to that extent there’s no doubt that as these images from the October issue of British Elle by David Vasiljevic show she’s up there in there in the list. Whilst you’re at it take note at this season’s big make-up trends.
(Don’t worry, that’s not mandatory. You can just stare longingly at Rosie if you wish.)
