When Vogue first began Fashion’s Night Out it was intended to get people back into stores and back into the habit of spending on fashion after the somewhat grim time during the global recession. Whilst things might not have entirely got back to the way they were prior to that, they’re definitely improved.  With more and more shops taking part each year this Thursday night’s London event looks to be the biggest one yet.

Be sure to check out some of the fantastic events going on around the West End – I personally recommend you take a trip to Stella McCartney on Bruton Street, where you’ll be able to stick your head through a hole in a giant image from the Autumn/Winter campaign and for possibly the only time in your life have the body of supermodel. Natalia Vodianova to be precise.

H&M on Regent Street will be offering you the chance to strike a pose before their cameras to be in with the chance of winning a £150 gift card, whilst Anya Hindmarch on Bond Street is asking you ‘How Do You Wear Yours’ to be in with a chance of winning of her lustworthy pieces of arm candy.

I myself however shall be camped out at the Coach store on Bond Street waiting to meet, and become BFF’s with, Gwyneth Paltrow. (It’s an unnatural obsession I know but one I feel utterly no shame for. We shall be friends. We shall also have a BBC2 cooking series together where we travel round Italy laughing and cooking. That’s the dream friends, that’s the dream. )

Check out the site for a full listing of the events, starting at 6pm and continuing right through until 11pm. You can also check what’s going on in the other sixteen cities around the world taking part!
